Overview of the Role:

We're excited to offer a full-time role for a Learning and Development Specialist in our L&D team, a vital component of our Human Resources department. The L&D team is dedicated to crafting, designing, developing, and delivering transformative learning solutions. Our goal is to empower Alignment employees with the skills and competencies required for their current roles, while also providing the tools to drive their career growth and success. Your role as a Learning and Development Specialist will play a pivotal part in ensuring our employees receive the utmost support and resources for their professional journey. As the Learning and Development Specialist, you will be responsible creating and facilitating dynamic and engaging learning objects and classes in support of the Human Resources department; including but not limited to facilitating our weekly, virtual New Employee Orientation, creating End-User Workday modules, Job Aids and other internal learning objects. 

Responsibilities

Manage Workday Learning responsibilities such as, but not limited to, scheduling classes and coordinating enrollment, creating and managing digital courses, and ensuring accurate audiences.  

  • Evaluate and refine existing programs, courses and content for impact and alignment with organizational needs. Identify synergies and opportunities to provide the most effective learning solutions.  
  • Responsible for cultivating and managing stakeholder relationships, fostering robust networks to enhance attendance and participation, while diligently overseeing follow-up actions to ensure seamless facilitation of learning experiences 
  • Provide recommendations for learning experiences that increase reach, impact, and future capability requirements.  
  • Support learning efforts with training related technology systems and programs including the Learning Management System, Workday, assessments, surveys etc.  
  • Act as the dedicated program manager for our tuition reimbursement program, managing end-to-end operations, communication, and support for eligible employees. 
  • Support and partner with the Manager, Learning, Performance and Engagement on Workday operation from start to finish, including day-to-day operations and integration efforts that support company objectives. 
  • Create help resources and training for administrator users including instructional videos, how-to guides, and FAQs related to the usage of the learning management system. 
  • Serve as a Learning and Development thought partner, proactively researching and identifying opportunities to apply new thinking to improve effectiveness and on the job performance.  
  • Create dynamic and engaging learning opportunities for teams with an immediate focus on End-User Workday training for Alignment Health teams.  
  • Support the transition into Workday as Alignment Health’s HCM. 
  • Manage and facilitate New Employee Orientation and other live-virtual courses, including leadership development, as needed.  
  • Perform other related duties as required.  

Required Skills and Experiences:

  • Bachelor’s degree, but combination of education and work experience will be considered in lieu of degree 
  • 2-3 years’ experience as a Learning and Development Specialist or in similar position 
  • Experienced facilitator – live and virtual learning environments, required. 
  • Experience in LMS administration that supports online, hybrid and blended instruction.  
  • Experience with learning creation software such as Articulate 360, Storyline, Camtasia, and Canva. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills. 
  • Demonstrated success in project management. 
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. 
  • Ability to share knowledge and work in a strong team-oriented environment. 
  • Ability to interpret, apply and explain technical requirements, policies and procedures. 


Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Strong experience working with workday – preferred. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in web development skills including rest api, javascript, html, css, and sql. 
  • Experience developing advanced reports and dashboards. 

Pay range: $75,000 - $95,000
