We are experiencing rapid growth (backed by top private equity firms), our Supplemental Benefits team is looking for an Intern to join the team. This position will play a key role in ensure transportation benefits are administered safely and accurately.

Overview: We are seeking a motivated Health Plan Intern to join our dynamic supplemental benefit team. This internship offers hands-on experience in the field of health insurance, providing an opportunity to learn and contribute to various aspects of our health plan operations. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in healthcare administration, possess excellent analytical skills, and be eager to learn from experienced professionals in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Analysis and Reporting:
• Assist in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data related to health plan performance, member demographics, claims utilization, and other key metrics.
• Prepare reports and presentations summarizing findings and trends for internal stakeholders.
• Member Services Support:
• Collaborate with member services teams to understand member inquiries, concerns, and feedback.
• Help in developing strategies to enhance member satisfaction and engagement.
• Policy and Procedure Review:
• Review current health plan policies and procedures.
• Provide recommendations for updates or improvements to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Healthcare Provider Network Management:
• Support efforts related to healthcare provider network development and management.
• Assist in credentialing and contracting processes.
• Regulatory Compliance:
• Assist in monitoring regulatory changes and updates impacting health insurance and managed care.
• Contribute to compliance audits and documentation as needed.
• Project Support:
• Participate in special projects and initiatives related to health plan operations, such as quality improvement programs or new product development.

Basic Qualifications:

• Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful conclusions.
• Excellent communication, analytical and collaborative problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Prior internship experience in healthcare, insurance, or related fields is a plus.
• Demonstrable track record dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering results in an agile, dynamic startup environment
• Healthcare experience (preferred)
• Desire to work at a fast-paced work environment (preferred)
