Overview of the Role:

Alignment Healthcare is looking for a BI Engineer. Data drives the way we make decisions. We love our customers and understanding them better makes it possible to provide the best clinical outcome and care experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements Data Operations strategy to support organizational initiatives.
  • Manages and leads the Data Operations Team (Enterprise Data Warehouse & Pipeline) including data Ingestion, EDW and Pipeline transaction support, quality assurance, implementation support, and workflow management.
  • Provides leadership and mentorship to internal data Operations staff.
  • Develop Data Acquisition and Data Interchange initiatives to implement Best Practices and improve overall efficiency.
  • Oversees all production Data pipelines to ensure data quality, integrity, and timeliness.
  • Works closely with the Data Engineering & BI leadership to set goals and objectives.
  • Interact with different business units translate their data needs into requirements.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and process flow of all EDW and Data Pipeline processes.
  • Responsible for managing, leading and overseeing day to day data operational activities by ensuring compliance with the organization policies.
  • Communicate with trading partners, Business Partners, software vendors, and internal departments.
  • Participate in project meetings, providing input to project plans and providing status updates.
  • Provide production support as needed (Off hour problem diagnosis and resolution).
  • Provide status updates on all assigned tasks to data operations using the service request tracking tools.
  • Prepares Pipeline metric dashboards and Pipeline status reports for Operation Review meetings.
  • Manage data reconciliations between business partners data and internal databases.
  • Responsible for managing and tracking Data Operation activities to ensure that the operating costs for the department are achieved within budget.
  • Creates and maintains a positive, cohesive work environment.
  • Responsible for the global standardization of EDW Operation processes and process improvement and efficiency
  • Interview and hire necessary personnel.
  • Creates and maintains a positive, cohesive work environment.
  • Set clear team goals, Monitor team performance and report on metrics.

Required Skills and Experience:

6+ years of Enterprise Data Warehouse experience.

  • 7+ years of experience with Integration software products and knowledge of Healthcare Industry standards and requirements.
  • 8+ years database experience with MS SQL Server.
  • 8+ years of experience in healthcare industry with proven understanding of data terminology.
  • Clear understanding & working knowledge of HIPAA protocols.
  • Extensive hands-on EDW and Data Pipeline experience with Microsoft’s SSIS/SSRS/Azure Data Factory/Power BI and other cloud-based data services.
  • Supports trading partner management that includes onboarding, continued support, and transition.
  • BS in Computer Science, IT or equivalent and/or equivalent experience.

 Pay Range $90,000-$110,00.00 annually
