Position Summary:

The Provider Operations Coordinator will work closely with the Provider Operations Manager to ensure successful end-to-end implementation and ongoing maintenance of provider contracts across a wide variety of internal operational functions and systems.    They will be responsible for the timeliness and accuracy of all implementation and maintenance activities and projects.  The role requires strong communication skills, outstanding organizational skills, and the ability to manage and prioritize competing priorities in a dynamic fast-paced environment.    

 

General Duties/Responsibilities (May include but are not limited to):

·       Under the supervision and guidance of the Provider Operations Manager:

·       Auditing and quality control of the contract administration documents. Coordinating contract and provider implementation and communication.

·       Connect contract-related needs with operational requirements and facilitating administrative and tactical execution of activities

·       Serves as operational support for Network Management and market leaders for assigned regions or markets

·       Validates project activities are being performed accurately and on time (including Credentialing, Provider Data Management, Configuration, IT, Network Management, Delegation Oversight, etc.)

·       Assists in gathering, formatting and organizing information required for successful provider implementation and operations, including rosters, W-9s, credentialing information, contract routing forms, delegation oversight packets, etc.

·       Coordinates and executes ongoing follow-up with providers to obtain complete and current credentialing information and supporting documentation in a timely manner

·       Supports quarterly provider data validation process

·       Maintains detailed documentation about provider requests and contract changes

·       Assists with contract and operations research needed for day to day activities as well as key initiatives

·       Assists with mailings, follow up calls, reporting, and tracking to support market and network opportunities

·       Assists with scheduling meetings, meeting preparation, minutes and logging projects as necessary

Minimum Requirements:

·       Minimum Experience:

a.       Background of 2-3 years in healthcare or managed care preferably in a Network Management / Provider Relations / Provider Data Management role

b.       Familiarity with value-based healthcare systems

·       Education/Licensure:

a.       Requires a high school diploma. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.

·       Other:

a.       A proactive, self-driven approach to executing strategic and daily work is essential

b.       Ability to balance multiple competing priorities simultaneously, while continuing to meet deadlines and quality requirements

c.       Ability to effectively collaborate with leaders and team members across multiple functional areas

d.       Strong knowledge of Excel preferred.  Database and analytical tool experience highly desirable.

e.       Very strong organizational skills
