Overview of the role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Data Scientist with a strong background and subject matter expertise in clinical research, health outcomes, and a medical degree. As a Medical Data Scientist, you will be responsible for the end-to-end health outcome measurement and interpretation of these outcomes to various audiences. You will also design and build a knowledge base for AI-assisted tools for clinicians, help improve AI-based stratification models to predict hospital admissions and various health events and conditions, and work on conversational AI solutions to improve patient outcome and experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with key business leaders to understand their business problems and translate them into well-defined analytical solutions with measurable business metrics.
  • Work collaboratively with other data scientists, analysts, and clinicians to improve AI-based stratification models to predict hospital admissions and various health events and conditions.
  • Develop and implement strategies for health outcome measurement and analysis across multiple projects and studies.
  • Communicate complex health outcomes data to diverse audiences through written reports, manuscripts, and presentations.
  • Design and build a knowledge base for AI-assisted tools for clinicians that can be used to reduce clinician burn-out and improve patient outcomes. Develop conversational AI solutions to improve healthcare experience of our members.
  • Design and implement health outcome experiments and experimental frameworks.
  • Collaborate with external partners, universities, and researchers to develop and validate new health outcome measurement tools and methodologies.

Requirement skills and experience:

  • Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with a strong background in clinical research and health outcomes
  • 5+ years relevant experience in predictive and prescriptive modeling and analysis for various healthcare problems
  • Strong track record of publishing research in peer-reviewed journals and presenting at conferences.
  • Proficiency in medical writing and ability to create medical knowledgebases for AI solutions.
  • Experience working with large and complex healthcare datasets such as electronic health records, claims data, and clinical trial data.
  • Strong statistical analysis skills and expertise in data visualization tools
  • Understanding of relevant statistical measures such as confidence intervals, significance of error measurements, development, and evaluation data sets, etc.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Familiarity with machine learning techniques and AI solutions
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience in setting experimental analytics frameworks, clinical research, trials, or strategies for complex scenarios.

Pay Range $120,100.00 - $180,100.00 annually
