Position Summary: 

Strategy & Corporate Development, Sr Manager will analyze and synthesize financial and operational data to inform Alignment’s business and strategic decisions.  For this role, we’re looking for a leader who has built a consistent track record of excellence in the workplace, can flourish in an entrepreneurial environment, and is comfortable working in a dynamic organization while managing tight deadlines.  The Sr. Manager will lead Alignment’s business development-related financial modeling and analysis, including short-term forecasts, contractual evaluations, and long-term projections. Key areas of focus will include supporting M&A and other business development / market expansion analyses, leading due diligence projects for key investments and incorporating key diligence information into deal models, identifying clinical initiatives for medical cost improvements, evaluating strategies for cost savings, and analyzing product line profitability..  The analysis must be presented with clarity and in a way that it can be acted upon to improve the effectiveness of the business.

 

General Duties/Responsibilities (May include but are not limited to): 

  • Build financial, valuation and ROImodels based on operational drivers of the business to evaluate historical performance and forecast projected financial results.
  • Build and analyze cash flow projections.
  • Manage due diligence processes on acquisition targets
  • Improve financial and operational status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management.
  • Analyze detailed corporate and financial information including monthly business unit analysis.
  • Guide cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions.
  • Develop supporting materials to share analyses and findings with senior management.
  • Support finance and operations in developing predictive KPI’s to better forecast and manage the business of Alignment.
  • Assess the viability and ROI of growth initiatives including new markets, business lines, and potential partnerships.
  • Provide support on all aspects of deal execution – valuation, due diligence, qualifications and presentations to key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate commitment and attendance sufficient to complete the duties of the position as required.
  • Perform related duties similar to the above in scope and function as required.

Supervisory Requirements:

Oversees assigned staff. Responsibilities include recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; assigning workload; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; and coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Minimum Experience:
    1. 4-5 years of investment banking, private equity/venture capital or comparable experience in corporate finance at a healthcare company.
    2. Healthcare and/or M&A experience preferred.
    3. At least an intermediate to advanced level of proficiency with MS Excel
  2. Education/Licensure:
    1. Bachelor of Science in Finance or Economics preferred.
  3. Other:
    1. Knowledge of principles and practices of finance administration in accounting, budgeting, and auditing.
    2. Detail-oriented personality with executive maturity, business acumen, and the ability to influence with exceptional communication skills. Ability to handle competing priorities and complex projects
    3. Curiosity, Strong Problem-Solving Skills, Process Improvement, Statistical Analysis, Reporting research results, Excellent Presentation skills, ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees up to Executive Level.
    4. Be able to work towards goals with low levels of supervision
    5. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
